Position purpose:
The purpose of the Supply Supervisor is to assist in the management of the purchasing, warehouse and logistics functions at the AUMS Nyankanga/Geita Hill underground mining operations at the Geita Gold Mine.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the procurement, warehousing and logistics activities on site.
- Ensure procurement of goods and services are sourced and acquired at a cost-effective price in a timely manner and to the required specifications.
- Conduct periodic stock counts, reconciling variances and inputting of data to ensure a high level of availability of inventory materials.
- Ensure the expediting function is carried out and orders maintained on a regular basis.
- Ensure that a high level of safety and compliance to the AUMS HSE policies is maintained.
- Have a good understanding of the Tanzanian “Local Content” legislation to support the AUMS local content initiatives in relation to the supply function.
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/Procurement/ Logistics
- Current registration and membership of PSPTB.
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position within the supply chain function, specifically in underground mechanized mining operations.
- Ability to lead and supervise staff with a team player attitude.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Substantial experience in the use of Inventory, Procurement ERP systems as in Pronto, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Valid Tanzanian Driver’s License.
