AFISA MIFUGO DARAJA LA II/ LIVESTOCK OFFICER – 63 POSITION
AFISA MIFUGO DARAJA LA II/ LIVESTOCK OFFICER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Designing livestock production plans in the district;
ii. Coordinate livestock production in small and large livestock farms;
iii. Assist in coordinating extension programs related to livestock production in the district;
iv. Coordinate and conduct training on animal husbandry, livestock processing for experts of livestock and pastoralists;
v. To review and revise the livestock market infrastructure in his district and region;
vi. Design, initiate and implement livestock development projects in the district;
vii. Conduct a resource survey (e.g. survey survey) e.g. livestock, animal feed, feed e.t.c. in his workplace;
viii. Conduct training for agents, vendors and experts on safe ways to set up and supplying livestock inputs;
ix. To explore new areas suitable for diversification;
x. Conduct an assessment of environmental degradation caused by pastoralism in the district;
xi. Participate in animal / biological pest control activities;
xii. Monitor, record, analyze and interpret livestock production statistics;
xiii. Prepare general information on livestock development;
xiv. Perform other duties related to his or her profession as directed by his or her supervisor work;

QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Employed with a degree in Animal Science or Agricultural Science specializing in Animal Science from Sokoine Agricultural University or from another college recognized by the Government.
SALARY SCALE
Based on Government Salary Scales TGS D.
