JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Provide veterinary health services;
ii. Conduct veterinary diagnostics in his workplace in accordance with the law;
iii. Develop and manage programs to prevent, control and eradicate livestock diseases in its area;
iv. Managing animal rights;
v. Participate in the study of wildlife diseases in its area;
vi. Supervise and coordinate compliance with Disease Regulations and Laws, veterinary inspections and its products and livestock inputs
vii. Coordinate and supervise the operation of abattoir hygiene and meat inspection in its area of work;
viii. Prepare a veterinary health report in his workplace; and
ix. To perform such other functions as may be assigned to him by his supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Employed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the College Sokoine Agricultural University (SUA) or from another Government Recognized College who are registered with the Tanzania Veterinary Council
VETERINARY OFFICER SALARY SCALE
Based on TGS F. Government wage rates
