About Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) 

The Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) is an applied Engineering Research and Development institution established through Parliament Act No 23 of 1980 which became operational in July 1982. TEMDO operates under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Marketing. Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) is based at Njiro Hills in the Municipality of Arusha. The major establishment objective of Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) was to design, adapt, and develop machinery and equipment, and to promote their commercial manufacture and use. 

The Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) Vision is  To be a preferred provider of value – driven engineering solutions to small and medium enterprises toward national industrialization. The Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) Mission is  To provide high quality engineering products and services to small and medium manufacturing industries through research, design, technology development and transfer to attain national industrialization. 

Tanzania Engineering and Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO) has been conducting both general courses and tailor-made training programmes designed to meet specific client industries or institutions. More than 40 general courses and tailor-made training programs have so far been conducted, attracting a total of more than 600 Engineers and Technicians from industries and institutions.
