#1. How to Login to GauchoSpace
The following are the Gauchospace login procedures or Gauchospace login instructions.
To access the learning management system at the University of California, Santa Barbara do the following:
- Visit gauchospace.ucsb.edu for more information.
- In the upper right corner, click Login.
- Once you've done that, you'll be asked to enter your UCSBNetID credentials.
- Then enter your UCSBnetID.
- Then type in your password.
- Once you've logged in, you'll be sent to your personal home page, where the UCSB Course Overview section includes all of your courses. There is a link to each course title.
- You can access your course site by clicking on any course title.
GauchoSpace Login
To use GauchoSpace, all students, including those in the extension and open university programs, need a UCSBnetID.
Your UCSBnetID is a unique identifier that you can use to access a wide range of UCSB services at the university of California Santa Barbara. UCSBnetIDÂ is the prefix to your UCSB email address, @umail.ucsb.edu if you are a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

It is possible to view all of your course locations from the current and prior quarters after logging into GauchoSpace. One or more courses may not have been added to GauchoSpace for the current quarter because the instructor has yet to do so or does not intend to use Gauchospace.

To access course sites more than a quarter past the due date, students must contact the course instructor and request to be included to the site as a Test Student. They can then access the course.

Taking a look at your academic progress via GauchoSpace.
The GauchoSpace gradebook can be used to display grades if an instructor so desires. Students will be able to see their final grades in eGrades and on UCSB GOLD. Some instructors may opt to hide the Grades link on their GauchoSpace course site or not to input any grades.
Some assignments may not be graded, or grades may not yet be provided for all assignments by an instructor. By clicking on This Course on the dashboard and then on Grades, you can see your grades if your instructor has filled up the gradebook.

#3. How to see your GauchoSpace profile
Importing student ID photographs from ACCESS cards for new students is now available on GauchoSpace. Students can use their Profile to submit a new picture of themselves and choose who can see it.
In addition to allowing your instructor to recognize you, a profile photo can serve a variety of other purposes. GauchoSpace instructors can see your photo in a variety of locations, including grade displays, participant screens, and activity screens.
On the participant and activity screens, other students will be able to view your picture. If you want to restrict who can see your photo, you can do so in your profile's 'Privacy' settings.

- To add a new photo to your GauchoSpace profile, you'll first need to edit it.
- Use GauchoSpace to log in to your account.
- Edit my profile in the UCSB Course Block.
- Take a look at the bottom of the page for the user photo.
- In the new picture upload section, simply drag and drop your photo (a.jpg or.png file). For example, when a user hovers over your image, they'll see your description.
- The Privacy section is located at the bottom of the page
- All students on your course site can see your picture unless you change your privacy option.
- At the bottom of the page, you'll see an Update Profile button.
