- This student account is used for things like email and other services and systems that are supported by ITS. These include computer labs, WiFi networks, WebReg UCSD, UCSD VPN, and the UCSD Canvas learning management system.
- Find your email and username.
- Go to the tool that lets you look up a student's account.
- Under the second option ("Forgot Username? "), enter your Last Name and Student PID, then click "Submit" to see your account username.
- Click the button that says the name of your account.
- This will show information about your UC San Diego account and your official email address. As soon as you sign up for classes, this tool will also show you information about computer resources.
- At the top, you should see a message that says "New Students account activation" and has a link that says "Change Password."
NOTE: After you accept your admission offer in Slate, it could take 1-2 business days for your account to be ready. If you just accepted and your account can't be found, please try again in a day or two.

- Find the first option to change the password, If you know any passwords that work, use your original MyTritonLink/Triton Checklist password as your current password and enter a password for your ETS student account (you may reset the same password at this step).
- Even if your current password works for MyTritonLink, if it is not recognized, you will need to use the link under "If you don't know your existing password" and answer your security question to reset your password.
- If the password change works, you will see a confirmation screen that tells you when the new password will be used on all systems. Most of the time, this will take less than 15 minutes.
